History
Wydown Water is 100% fully owned and managed by current Washington Univeristy undergraduate students. The roots of Wydown Water lie in a marketing project developed by a group of Washington University students in 2003. The business was started in order to fulfill a marketplace need for premium quality water sold at a discount. With the full support of the university administration, Wydown Water rented out a storefront on the South 40 and opened its doors to thirsty Washington University students. Positive feedback and strong word of mouth advertising made Wydown Water an instant success. In 2005, the founders graduated and sold the business to five new managing partners who have since graduated and transferred ownership again to four new students in 2008. All past and present owners have demonstrated a strong commitment to the core values of Wydown Water throughout their time as Washington University students.
